For our first full day in Paris, we started at the Louvre.
The Louvre is HUGE, we were there all morning and only explored a couple of exhibits. We did manage to make our way to see the famous lady herself, the Mona Lisa. Be warned, the painting is a bit underwhelming in person. It’s very small and surrounded by hordes of people. However, the Louvre is incredible and worth checking out during your time in Paris.
After the Louvre, we walked back to our Airbnb and headed to the Palace of Versailles.
Since we were there during September, we bought additional tickets for their Royal Serenade and Fountain Night Show. After a tour of the palace, we were treated to a show that included singing, dancing, and a sword fight. Then we made our way to the garden for the Fountain Night Show. I am OBSESSED with a good garden, and the Palace of Versailles did not disappoint. The Fountain Night show included beautiful installations of art, light, and sound. After a few hours, we felt beat and left before their nightly fireworks.
